Canggu surf report
welcome all to the newest and best bali surf blog! without corruption by corporate motives i will be bringing you accurate surf reports and advice for your dream surf vacation. My name is Bryan Jacobs and i am a 6 year veteran of bali surfing. I make a humble living by giving private surf lessons and hassel free guideing for the more experianced rider. please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have be it about surfing or anything else. Where to eat, where to stay or where to go party i know it all! today on the 30th of October the surf was 2 to 3 foot. with the season in mid change we still have glassy conditions here on the east coast until about 9 or 10 when the wind is picking up from the west south west blowing onshore in kuta. with small swell one of my favorite options is of course Canggu! this break picks up any swell that might be out there and breaks with as much power as you can hope for with small conditions. thought it will be busy as it is a "name brand wave" this morning i had a very fun surf on the sand bar before the wind came up around 9. In the afternoons its time to head to the east coast! here the wind is offshore. There are plenty of spots on this coast but they need a bit more swell. tomorrow is predicted to be the same so maybe just relax and have a bintang after your morning session!

October Canggu Bali surf report
October is usually the month of the year where we are all hoping that the west wind will hold out for a little longer and keep giving us perfect glassy conditions in the morning from Uluwatu to Medewi. Lucky for us today this morning i surfed glassy canggu at 6 a.m. with ideal tides of 1.7 meters covering the reefs. with the swell dropping off from earlier in the week the size was perfect for the left and right with the sand bar good as always. i chose to surf the left as it was lining up and breaking from the inside. i had a great session managing to make 3 or 4 nice small brown barrels! The crowd is always a factor here but knowing where to sit is key. Having a guide who knows the wave like the back of his hand will up your wave count in these types of waves! lets all prey for no west wind till Christmas.
